Electric Oven & Range Problems
- Won't heat or heats unevenly — bake element, broil element, or temperature sensor.
- Cooktop burner won't heat — burner element, infinite switch, terminal block.
- Self-clean failed and now the oven won't work — thermal fuse blown during self-clean (extremely common).

- Won't ignite — igniter that's weakened over time (won't draw enough current to open the safety valve). We test with a multimeter, not by eye.
- Surface burner clicks but won't light — spark module, burner cap alignment, or moisture in the igniter.
- Burner flame is yellow or weak — air shutter adjustment or clogged orifice.
- Gas smell — stop using the unit, call us immediately. We trace leaks with a proper sniffer.
