About Pickwick Appliance Repair

Locally based, factory-trained, and built around honest replace-or-repair guidance — not pushing repairs that don't make sense.

Why We Started

Hardin County and the Pickwick Lake area have historically been underserved on appliance repair. The closest specialist options have meant calls to Tupelo, Memphis, or Jackson — with the matching wait times. We started Pickwick Appliance Repair to offer a real local alternative: techs based here, vans stocked here, the parts and diagnostic tools to handle the brands you actually own.

Our Approach

We charge a single flat diagnostic fee to come out, properly diagnose the problem, and tell you what the repair will cost. That fee is fully credited toward the repair if you decide to proceed. If we can't fix something the same visit, we'll order the part and schedule a follow-up — usually within the week.

We're honest about repair-vs.-replace math. There are cases — a 15-year-old top-load washer with a failed control board, an older countertop microwave with a dead magnetron, a freestanding entry-level dishwasher with sealed-system damage — where replacement is the smarter call. We'll tell you straight when that's the case. Our business is built on repeat customers and referrals, not on selling repairs that don't pencil out.

The Brands We Train On

We're factory-trained on the major residential brands: Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, GE, Frigidaire, Samsung, LG, Bosch, Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Scotsman, U-Line, Miele, and Speed Queen. Brand-specific diagnostic tools, parts relationships, and codebooks are the difference between a guess-and-replace approach and a proper repair.

Service Area

Hardin County (Savannah, Pickwick, Counce, Crump, Shiloh), McNairy County (Selmer, Adamsville, Bethel Springs), and across the line into Mississippi for Tishomingo County (Iuka, Burnsville, Cherokee). If you're not sure whether we cover your address, just call — (731) 244-8756 — we route through most of the area on a regular basis.
